We finally gave my teen daughter a bedroom makeover! Just in time for the start of the school year too! I know first hand the frustrations of coming to a happy medium with your young teen about making over his or her bedroom. We have had the pleasure of working with many parents on their children’s rooms, and now I get it! I truly get it!! They have opinions and lots of Pinterest photos to show you. My teen even went online and created a word document of furniture pieces and decor she liked. Thank goodness she loves her bedroom now, and we had a blast putting it all together.

Your teen will have fun finding wall art or using photos to create a gallery.

Choose a cool light that makes a statement.

Storage: We chose a modern dresser with gold handles.

Desk area doubles as a make-up vanity. My teen uses a laptop while sitting on her bed, so the desk really holds all of her face, nail, and hair supplies.

The gold finish was very important to my teen, so we gave new life to the door hooks and a full length mirror by spray painting them!

TIP: Have your teen promise (BIG pinky swear) that they will keep their new digs clean!
