We are all smiles with the progress so far! As we move along with the show house master bedroom design, we have pretty much stuck to our original Bohemian Glamour vision; A relaxed yet elegant vibe. We wanted to add warm wood finishes without being too traditional in the room, so we designed a shiplap wall treatment above the fireplace and included a rustic distressed wood mantel. We worked within the constraints of the fireplace that existed but added new architectural details.

We used a gray stain on the shiplap and a warm brown finish on the mantel. We painted the original corbels Benjamin Moore’s Gray (2121-10). The deep gray color makes a huge difference in the overall look of the fireplace!

What a Difference!!!

We love built in benches so when there is an opportunity to put one in that spanned the length of a wall we said ‘let’s do it!’
