Get to know the team and the historic home inspiring our design
We are so excited to participate in this year’s SOTA Show House. Society of the Arts (SOTA) is a nonprofit cultural organization founded in 1964 with a mission to support the Allentown Art Museum’s presentation of outstanding artistic programs.
The home for the show house is the historic John B. Shimer House; a landmark Greek Revival Farm House in Emmaus (Shimerville) built in 1855, once owned by the influential local figure John Shimer.
The show house opens on May 2nd and runs untill May 17th.
There will be so much beautiful and unique interior and exterior design to experience. We truly hope you can make it! Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes updates as we bring our space to life. In the meantime, we’d love to introduce the designers working on our show house room.

Shoshana is especially excited to work within such a historic home and to share LYR’s creative vision for the space.
“Our team has been pouring so much creative energy into crafting a unique vision for this room. We hope that everyone who tours it walks away feeling inspired.”
Jennifer Bonner
Senior Designer, LYR
Inspired by the home’s history and architectural integrity, Jenn is focused on blending timeless elements with fresh perspective.
“Designing in a home with this much character is an incredible opportunity. We’re honoring its history while layering in unexpected details that make the space feel alive and current.”
Hannah Miller
Project Coordinator, LYR
With an eye for detail and atmosphere, Hannah is helping shape the room’s overall mood and experience.
“We want this room to feel intentional and immersive, where every material, texture, and finish tells part of a story. It’s about creating a moment people truly feel when they step inside.”
