Are you hosting Thanksgiving? If so, your table decor should set the stage for your menu, and be welcoming to guests. We have an easy, bold, and beautiful tabletop setting to share with you! We are decorating for Thanksgiving right from our interior design studio in Pennsylvania. This year, we are not choosing the predictable approach of a Thanksgiving centerpiece made up of branches, leaves, and jute runners. So go ahead and decorate a Thanksgiving table this year!
Ours is bold and luxurious. Re-create this look and get Hostess of the Year award!
Shosh shares how to get this look with Eve Russo of WFMZ TV 69 News at Sunrise. She includes her top ‘must-haves’ to set the mood here!
Our table decorations include a mix of gold, plush and glossy blacks, and pretty pinks. The key is to layer it using different patterns and textures. This is the secret to making a stylish table scape splash!
THREE Key Touches We Stuck To:
-
Instead of tying up napkins, we folded them flat and placed a tasty bowl of Jordan almonds on top. It’s a surprise treat for everyone!
-
Turning the placemats vertically under the plates is a unique option from the typical horizontal direction.
-
Painting pumpkins and squash a vibrant pink was very easy to do! We cleaned them off; once they dried, we took our paint brush and acrylic paint out and pretended we were back in kindergarten.
We think anyone can create this table setting easily and inexpensively. We were able to save money by blending low and medium priced pieces together. We hit up the Dollar Store and a few other local retailers:
-
Creamy sparkly tablecloth
-
Black velvet placemats
-
Gold charger plates
-
Decorative black and white dinner plate
-
Black salad plate (from the Dollar Store)
-
Gingham fabric napkin
-
Jordan almond candy
-
Black titanium silverware
-
Black glass goblet (from the Dollar Store)
-
Black Moscow mule mugs
-
Iron candle stick holders
-
Golden candle holder
-
Pumpkin and squash I painted pink
-
String of lights that are battery operated
